Letter from Sensei Vincent Lan of Ken Wa Kan Dojo

Dear Sensei, friends, and all Ken Wa Kan members,

Time flies! It’s time to celebrate Ken Wa Kan Kendo Dojo 10th Anniversary! Again, thank you for supporting Ken Wa Kan during the past year. Because of you, Ken Wa Kan is able to continue serving our community, while sharing our Kendo knowledge and spirit with our friends. I hope Ken Wa Kan will continue our original goal which is to help more people interested in studying and discovering the true spirit and beauty of Kendo.

I hope this anniversary will bring everyone together as a family while we enjoy a different form of good time other than Kendo study. So please come and mingle with your families and friends. Also, if there are any comments or suggestions to improve this Kendo family, please let us know. I am looking forward to meeting with you during the anniversary!

Opening Ceremony- 1:30 PM (gym open at 1:00 PM)

Kendo Kata Demonstration- 1:45 PM

Team Shiai- Demonstration- 2:00 PM

Godo Keiko- 3:30 PM

Closing Ceremony- 4:30 PM

Location- Ken Wa Kan Newtown Square: 20 Media Line Road, Newtown Square, PA Marple Newtown Leisure center/gym: Entrance is right off West Chester pike/Wyndena Ln.

Dinner Party- 6:00 PM

Location- Ichiban Seafood Buffet (Next to LA Fitness and Sleepy’s; Back entrance of Target)

Cost- $20/each; Age 11~15: $15; Age 10 and under: Free. (The fee includes all the foods/drinks/tips)

Dress Code- Casual
